I like reading Huffington Post. It’s definitely biased toward progressivism but has lots of intelligent content and a great humor section. The one thing that really bugs me about Huffington Post is that it gives medical quacks and hucksters a platform to spew their nonsense.
Joseph Mercola, a frequent “contributor” to HuffPo, is one of the worst offenders against medical science. He rants against the modern vaccination regimen, pasteurized milk, microwave ovens, and artificial sweeteners and writes in favor of all manner of unproven and discredited schemes such as homeopathy, vitalism, chelation therapy … The list is long and includes many of the worst snake oil schemes of our age. Mercola makes money off this drivel, probably a lot of money, and Huffington Post diminishes itself by allowing him to promote himself and his false wares on its site.
