Like many people, I am conflicted about Steve Jobs’ influence on the world. But one thing I won’t argue is that he is a brilliant man who takes uncompromising positions in his work, and that the results of that work are generally paragons of excellence.
Despite my reservations about Jobs’ sometimes dictatorial demands on those using his products, I’m typing this on a Macbook and have also have an iMac and another Macbook for my wife. The modern Mac is the most perfect combination of hardware and software in existence for getting things done in a wide variety of fields.
